Making a trade
Step 1: Make contact
Contact us by filling out the “contact us” form or clicking on the “Enquire about this product” link, and one of our sales representatives will be in contact with you as soon as possible.
Step 2: Agreement on Price and Quantities
In order for our sales representatives to give an accurate estimate we need to know the correct incoterm. Generally we prefer to quote using either CFR or FOB.
The required documents/certification can also effect the estimate and the product offering. Certain factories have been designed for certain parts of the world and may not have the correct credentials for the required area.
Step 3: Agreement on Payment terms
There are two simple options either by TT or by LC.
- Confirmed irrevocable Letter of Credit,
Please ensure always at sight basis. - TT (30% deposit against Pro-forma and 70% emailed proof of docs)
30% deposit secures the stock and the trade, once we have loaded the container and have all the original necessary documents in hand, we will send by email and expect the balance of the payment before couriering the originals via DHL.
Step 4: Issue Pro-forma Invoice
The pro-forma invoice is the contract between both parties, all details of the trade should be included, ie. Document requirements, Payment terms, price and quantity of stock.
Once this document has been stamped, signed and returned by email back to Hendy-Bros, the container will be booked and loaded.
Step 5: Loading of container
We ensure the container is loaded at the correct temperature. The entire loading is photographed.
Step 6: Preparation of Documents
Once the container has been loaded and shipped from port all the relevant documents are processed and couriered.
Step 7: Container arrives at destination
Once the container has arrived at destination, we encourage the client to give feedback. So that we can continue or improve our service offering.
